The rise of the” fifth estate” is going to change the way we
see the world! You can already access everything you need with just a click of
a button from shopping, banking and social networking. Even though it does make
things so much easier, but are we hiding behind our computer screen?
In America Obama made a page where American citizens could
post questions and queries. Obama, as far as know, replied to everyone with a
very presidential response. I believe this was the best way for Obama to reach
out and connect all Americans together to show them that he believes everyone
is equal and their thoughts are valid.
The rise of the “fifth estate” doesn’t just affect the way politicians
communicate with the world but also the way individuals do also.
Bullying is always going to be a problems and now with the
internet and social networking it’s just making it to accessible for people to
get knocked down.
Working in a shop that attracts a lot of old ladies I hear all the time “all you young people will lean
to regret the internet” and most of the time I just shrug it off thinking
whatever you crazy old lady the internet is amazing! But sometimes I stop and
think, our whole lives are exposed over the internet.
Every day I see people laying out their deepest darkest
secrets in a status for all to see and most of the time I just think to myself F**KING attention seekers please shut up! Sometimes
it’s more than just letting out steam. The last month or so I have seen a few
stories relating to people posting their most inner darkest secrets and people terrorized
for it, this being the last resort and they end up hurting themselves
physically because they just have nowhere else to turn.
