My city Lviv in the Western Ukraine is interesting, unusual and unique city-phenomenon. The name of the city Lviv in Ukrainian language means The City of Lions. My city, which seems in a kind of cocktail of wonderfully mixed centuries, culture, languages, customs and traditions of many peoples. Here the modern and old are so closely intertwined that one flows seamlessly into another. Its centuries, rich in events, history, belonging to different times, states and geographic locations (at the crossroads of Europe and Asia), equal to the influence of two great cultures and religions - Catholicism and Orthodoxy, the original multi-ethnicity. All these factors defined Lviv as a phenomena and made it a worthy destination to visit. Anyway, it would be my friendly advice. Moreover, I will be happy to help you to plan you trip there.
this is Market Square - the heart of the city and the constant place for festivals and city celebratons
Our Opera Theatre
and more, more, more.........
Lviv is multifaceted and many-sided and if you want to know it better - listen to its story and legends (we have hundreds of them!), look at its architecture, leisurely walk narrow streets of the Old Town, sit in a small cafe, listen to street musicians, check out the gallery, reflecting local tastes and preferences and look at Lviv! After such an acquaintance, perhaps its dignity will sparkle more brightly and clearly.

Not far from Lviv we have three very old castles. It is possible and breathtaking to visit all of them during one day with a group tour.
Podgoretsky is a pride of the "Golden Horseshoe" Castles of Ukraine. We call this region"Golden Horseshoe", because all three castles are situated around the city in the shape of a horseshoe. Its ensemble includes a three-story palace, inn, church and park. Podgoretsky castle was built in the XVII century by French engineer Boplan. This castle is more like a palace than a fortress, and contrasts sharply with the harsh, militant outposts skirts.
This is very old chapel just opposite the castle. When my nanny was a little girl she prayed there =) To be there and to feel the same atmosphere is something magic for me .
Zolochiv castle built in the first third of the 17th century as a fortress. In `driven over Tower, Chinese Palace, a large residential palace create beautiful Renaissance harmony. Over the centuries the castle was as a fortress, royal residence, the manor, prison and even a school. Now Zolochevsky Castle is a museum, one of the departments of Lviv Art Gallery.
